The heart of Smithsburg EMS is its volunteers.

Smithsburg EMS is actively recruiting. Volunteers are needed to staff our units, participate in station events and keep Station 79 running behind the scenes. No previous training is required. Can’t stand the sight of blood? Smithsburg EMS needs volunteers willing to help with clerical tasks, parade/special event staffing, gardening and even maintenance.
